HELPING THE COMMUNITY
Dr. Velasco and her staff are actively involved with the Greater New Orleans community.
Dental Donated Services

The Donated Dental Services (DDS) program is a collaborative, direct way that the dental profession reaches out to individuals with special needs.
Because of the extraordinary compassion of over 13,000 dentists and 3,000 dental laboratories across the country, DDS tends to the essential and comprehensive dental care needs of our nation’s most vulnerable people; disabled, elderly or medically-compromised individuals who cannot afford necessary treatment nor get public aid.

Our office has been a volunteer member since 2008 and provides FREE dental care to patients who have been accepted into the program.

Common Grounds Clinic
This Clinic offers medical services to uninsured patients from the local Algiers
community. We have also partnered up with them to offer dental services at
low cost for the uninsured in need of dental treatment.

Health Fairs

We routinely participate in community as well as corporative health fairs;
donating dental goodies and promoting the services our office offers.

Daycares, Elementary, Middle and High School

Oral Hygiene Education Lectures
We teach oral hygiene and the importance of oral / dental health in various
educational entities and donate dental goodies, to stimulate students to
maintain good oral hygiene habits. It is always a refreshing and entertaining
experience; frequently we learn more than what we teach!

New Orleans Musicians Clinic

The New Orleans Musicians Clinic (NOMC), in collaboration with LSU Healthcare Network and Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans, provides access to health and social welfare services for the local music community. ?

In partnership with the Foundation, we are able to offer and provide dental services at low costs to our talented New Orleans musicians, guaranteeing them to have their best smiles at each performance.
